We should have a way to draw our own pieces and use them. Like, we could make a pawn look like a chicken. And we could also color the pieces with any shade of color and make it 3D. Then if we really got carried away, we could let other people use our idea. What do you guys think? Any ideas?

    It doesn't really matter.

Just cause it doesn't matter doesn't mean it wouldn't be kinda cool. I agree it seems pointless, but it'd be kinda fun to mess around with.

I would like that, I think it would attract more people to chess.com, and would be awesome, especially if you have nothing to do, then you could do that and pass some time.

It would get old pretty quickly, BUT it would add to the features list. And people like features. They even pay for them... and never use them

Maybe, but if it was really high teck and easy to use, I bet people would use it a lot. I guess what I'm saying here is like making themes, and then making boards and pieces.

    "Are"? Don't you mean "our"?

Anyway, it would be kind of neat, but the coding to employ them on the site might be a bit of a chore for the programmers. I remember making a set of pieces for the Dasher program ICC and WorldChessLive use, and it was technically more difficult than I expected. Masks had to be made for all the pieces, and I had to carefully select color usage on each piece. In the end, the set turned out quite well, and I personally perfer my set to the default ones in Dasher.

Yes, sorry about that.Embarassed. Well, maybe Erik could find a way, but if not, well it was a good idea.
