I heard a good question today. What team sport does everyone travel backwards apart from one person?

I'm not sure of its origins but its a worldwide sport. There is no punchline either, its a genuine question.

Is it rowing? Oxford vs Cambridge. The team goes backwards apart from the one with the megaphone thingy.

Nice one mate! It took me ages to get that. My bother asked me yesterday. I was thinking rugby.... tug 'o' war.. got it in the end but I thought I'd throw it out to you brainiacs and see who would suss it. Seems no-one found it as taxing as me.

Perhaps it's time to release some gas to make space, Tony.

Cheers Gareth, I'm always getting into trouble me. I've been a bit down in the dumps lately so last night I decided to ring the Samaritans for a bit of councilling. Anyway, I was greeted on the phone by a man working at an Indian call centre. This in itself was no big deal, but when I told him I was feeling suicidal he became exited and asked me if I could fly a plane....

Along similar lines, I heard there were 5 sports you win going backwards and i can only think of 4, two of which mentioned above. Also, which race is won without ever crossing the line? Answer later.

Yeah, ok and Adam was first in the human race. the answer is a swimming race. Also, backstroke is won going backwards, as is the pole vault. I seriously dont know the other. Answers  please!

I should love to see someone do the pole vault going backwards. :-)
