has anybody else noticed that the ratings are inflated by about 150-200 points?

There is a discussion about inflated ratings here, beginning with "Ratings are meant to measure relative strength within a pool of players." and continuing with "please consider that a rating is ONLY valued within the context of the rated group. so chess.com ratings are chess.com ratings - not FIDE, not USCF, not other sites."

Plus i was told the more games that you play the more accurate your rating will be. The less games you have played the less accurate it will be that why the ratings go up and down like they do.

Many choose to become greeters and play unrated  games against new members, but in my opinon, I teach enough chess when not on this site so I prefer to only play the good ones.
