I was wondering for the higher rated players why don't they play unrated games against people weaker than them so this way they can learn.
I have done so w. a couple of players kind enough to do so.
Thats what i am talking about i know that it does not help the higher rated players, but maybe it can help the lower rated players.
When I challenge a much higher rated player, I offer that as an option...
i play rated games usually even if it is against higher rated people. Your rating is a number. So to me it is a sign of how well i am doing, not that it needs to be really high
Always play rated games, I turn a blind eye to my opponents rating.
Hello Frank,
Nullbyte just started to invite for a tournament (non rated ) starting 1 september, perhaps it's something for you ?
Friendly greetings,
Herman
i have done this with a few people i havent played for a while
Why don't you get a mentor ?
I am not very high rated player, just average, around 1750 but I would play unrated to anyone,in fact I am playing an opponent with a rating 743.
But the average distribution rating is meant to be 1316.
Ok,I am a bit high rating and I would play anyone with a lower rating.
Okay Herman that sounds cool thank you.
Who is Herman?
One of my friends from Belguim that i play on a regular basis.
oh,ok,sorry for asking
There is no need to be sorry;why would you say that?
I don't know,after I asked I thought perhaps it was not correct..but thanks :-)
No problem
