I was never a big fan, but they were very solid, professional musicians. They were quite "no frills", so they worked well with different front men.

Yeah! Love *The Band* and always will. It's a toss up for my Fav album between *Cahoots* or *Music From Big Pink*.

Love the *The last Waltz*. Great for a kick back day!

I really liked Garth Hudson's Organ playing and Robbie Robertsons guitar playing. I really like their album Stage Fright

I really like the Last Waltz version of The Weight with Mavis and Pop Staples. The version is not the one in the actual concert. The one in concert is without Mavis & Pop. They didn't like it so they overdubbed it.

I really love the song "The Weight." And any band where the drummer is the lead vocals is cool in my book.

Also Rick Danko had a coolly urgent voice and was a mighty funky bassist (I just saw their performance from the second season of SNL on DVD).
