It has to be Kirk.  Plastic sets like in chess.  And wooden acting.

yeah, I do like Picard, or it wouldn'tbe such a hard decision, but at least Kirk plays something- Picard waits til the very last ep to sit down at the Poker table- "I should have done this a long time ago." Gee, ya think?   Hey, wouldn't it've been cool if he'd said, "I should have done this a long time ago, cause being the most powerful mutant in the world, I can make you goobers fold."?

I DON'T BELIEVE ANYONE CAN DOUBT THAT THE INTERACTION OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS ON THE ORIGINAL STAR TREK WAS THE BEST EVER OF ALL THE STAR TREK'S. tHUS,EVEN THOUGH PATRICK STEWART IS A FINE ACTOR THE INTERACTION OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS ON THE ORIGINAL MADE THAT SERIES THE BEST OF THE TREKS.

'What am I, a doctor or a mechanic?' Lol 'Spock! Do something!'

There was a film once called , I think, 'Revenge of the Killer Carpets'.  Star Trek original was in that league - very cheap and very entertaining.  If only they would repeat it......

yes kirk was the macho spaceman , no doubt about it wining and dining, brawling and balling across the galaxy!!picards character was more intellectual, cerebral, more realistic but jim was certainly more entertaining albiet- in a 2 dimensional way. counseler troy was a bit dull but she was easy on the eyes as well. i like both series for different reasons, right now the old version is not being shown in my area except very late nite on weekends. sci fi channel still shows nxt gen semi regularly so ive seen more of those lately
