I know...this is a chess website and this has nothing to do with it but it's a great puzzle. One rule only: Don't google for the answer!!
A prisoner is kept in a small square-shaped room made of 3-inch thick solid steel, with no windows and no door (except for one that has been bolted and deadlocked). The room is 10 metres high, and the floor is 3x3 in area. There is a small 10cm by 10 cm hole at the peak of the room. All the prisoner has is a wooden chair and a bath.
The prisoner decides to take a bath. He places his clothes on the chair and he climbs in to the bath as he turns both taps on. They both break, and now he is holding two useless taps, and the water is coming out thick and fast, and is quickly up to his chest...and then head...he is treading water now...
How does the prisoner save himself from drowning?
I'll tell you soon if no-one gets it.
yes, this is a chess forum, but you are also in the off-topic forum
I would think:how is it possible to fill up the chamber since there normally would be some sort of drainage system in the bath?
You've nearly got it!! I can't believe it! But I need just three words...anyone know how to save him??
he takes off the protective top of the drainage?
unplug the drain
Yes...he pulls the plug...and it took me a lot longer to work it out...I'll see if I can find another one.
umm
