Hey, I know this might be a touchy topic for some, but I'm interested to know what people define as real power. Just something thats been bothering me. So yes, opinions please!

ivandh, that is actually current, which is due to electric potential. Power is work over time, and work is force over distance, so that would make power equal to force over distance-time

Work is Force times Distance.  The SI unit of work is the Joule (energy) or N*m, or kg*m²/s².  The SI unit of power is the Watt or J/s or kg*m²/s³.

 if you were'nt tranlated the scentence I was sure it had something with potatoes - "potestas"
