I keep hearing people talk about these trolls and I can't help but wonder what the big deal is.

What is a troll ?

A troll is a person who says something either irrelevent or non contributing. I for one truly hate trolls. They infest a forum thread by saying something like im first or something.

i might of got it wrong but r u talking about story trolls or forum trolls?

Huh. I see now I don't of these trolls you speak of. I hate people who say something irrelevant to the subject at hand.

nice defintion...I was under the impression it was someone just throwing in a quick two cents that really has no importance...such as a "lol" to a previous funny post

I guess I too am not a fam of someone that deliberately submits posts to disrupt

Cheater 1 cant be a troll he makes posts the size of my t.v ! He contributes to loads of discussions and without him, chess.com is gone, finished.

He's annoying and dose nothing but do silly posts. He's just got to be a troll.

well...if the defintion of an internet troll is someone that posts things irrelevant to the topic with the intention of "stirring" things up then first he has to deviate from the topic.

He definitley likes to stir things up but what I have seen he is usually on topic

I just read everything in wiki about what an internet troll is

A clever troll, who is regularly fed by the same souls who then complain about him. Perhaps it hasn't dawned upon them yet that trolls usuaully leave when ignored for a prolonged time.
