Who goes fishing in southampton uk?

I usually go fishing on the fresh water part of the river itchen in southampton so if theres any one that goes fishing near the white swan then can you post some tips on how to catch big fish pleaseSmile

Use stick float with about 4 shot down the line, bottom one needs to be about 4 inches away from the hook. A maggots seem to work well in this type of fishing. Oh and use a thin line of about 2 lb to 3 lb, if your fishing for things like trout and dase and grayling maybe gudgeon.
