What shall I call this theory, what do you think about it and is it plausible? Please discuss.
Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey
Einstein said that only an incapable mind perceives time as having a present, past and future. A capable mind will realise that technically the present, past and future are the same thing. It is like different places on the same price of string. Imagine time as a straight line, and you can only travel forwards, then time is finite, and you can't go backwards. But, imagine it as a loop: if you go forwards enough, you go into the past and time is infinite. I have a theory that time is infinite, and therefore, history repeats itself.
I do not think time is infinite. I think from our point of view it had a beginning and will have an end. From a different point of view, one might say time has always been, but that's not to say infinite.
For if time were eternal, how would we have ever reached the present moment of now, if it went back forever?
