Okay everyone, you don't have to actually have a band, but here's the dumping groups for AWESOME BAND NAMES.

I got one I think is sweet this evening:

"Sentient Insects"

Oh, and from looking at a lable of food that and/or may've contained peanuts, my friend and I thought up

"Andor and the Maycontains"

Kay, your turn to fire some silliness off.

My band's name is Serious Jester.  Our logo (which is air brushed on my bass drum head and hanging on a huge banner behind us) is a smiley face with X's for eyes, a Jester hat, and a Tuxedo.  I can send you some MP3s of our songs if you'd like.

One of my 1st bands was called Sound Check (cuz it seemed like the sound guys always used our set to get things ready for the "real" band).

And then their was our one CD that wasn't:  The band was called Big Purple Ghoti (pronounced like "fish") and the CD was called Laughter, Women, and Action.  (the "gh" in laughter makes an "f" sound, the "o" in women makes a soft "i" sound, and the "ti" in action makes a "sh" sound, thus "ghoti" is pronounced "fish").

Now who can tell me which movies we got these names from when we called ourselves:

Hangman's Joke

Lamb's Blood

The Slaughtered Lamb

(Speaking of band names that came from movies, it should be easy to identify the movies which inspired: "Duran Duran" and "Five Finger Death Punch")

No that's badass too, for sure. Who was being insulting? Billium is my friend too, and I was actually expressing that his post was super sweet, there was no sarcasm in my last post.

Billium I take some of your songs!!

Rael I agree I did not see any insults at all.

"Dripping with Contempt" is probably the best name for a band.

What about "Atomic Vomit"? That'd be badass for sure. Or maybe "The Good, The Bad, and the Awesome"?

"Boys Who Cry". Fan girls love band members who are "sensitive".

Rael told me that I should use this as a good band name:

"The Tick Lickers!"

and, they're gonna wear fringed hunting shirts, deerskin leggings, and moccasings. Afterall, they've named their band after Daniel Boone's gun, "Tick-licker".

Some computer geek names (great for a techno band!):

  1. Byte Me (Or Megabyte Me, Gigabyte Me, etc.)
  2. Processor
  3. Polygon
  4. Complex Textures
  5. Liquid Cool (That one would work for a jazz group, come to think of it...)

Just off the top of my head... it seems like some computer terms can be either really stupid sounding bandnames or really cool ones!
