I would take my backpack, with the Zombie Survival Guide in it of course, stay in my house, and take the instructions in the book.

is this meant to be like nazi zombies? god that is fun on the xbox.

i would hideout in an underground bunker, where the zombies couldnt find me.

i would take some sort of high rate machine gun (like the ppsh from cod:waw) and a trench gun (like the trench gun from cod: waw)

supplies: enough ammo for both guns so that i could kill thousands of zombies, loads of lightbulbs (energy efficient of course), a decent fold-away bed and of course enough quality food to last me for hundreds of years

Well I'll just get to the weapons part..

The AA 12 Shotgun for close quarters and a Dillon Aero M134 Minigun to keep em at bay.

    RE style all the way!

I'm going to pull a shocker right away and go for the Urban Bone Machete Mark III which is uber-cool with acid stains and has advantages over guns (swords don't jam or run out of ammo).

Still, like most people I am not comfortable with zombie breath. I would go with either a good ol' Kalashnikov for mobility, or the Browning fully automatic and fully awesome .50 which should be enough to shatter bones, making that tedious aiming for the brain pan thing unnecessary.

I closely follow the "Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks for all my zombie apocalypse needs.

I would read this http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2008/04/how-to-battle-z/. Follow all advice and hope for the best. Maybe I would try to disguise me as a zombie too, that could be helpful.

If there is any book or artical that whould help the most it would be the Zombie servival Guide, Also other books, like World War Z and walking dead are the best in zombie liditure. ^^

Somewhere that has an easily defensible perimeter (preferably an easily defensible choke point) with a good water supply nearby and useful equipment.  Out of view and hard to find.

An extensive set of survival gear (plus a ready packed survival ready to go at a moments notice)

    Petrol Powered generator

    Manually powered generator

    good medical equipment

    Communication equipment

    Weapons

For zombies:  Semi-automatic rifle, Handgun, and a .22 version of both for zombies that are getting close.

    Machete, Trench Spike, Crowbar

For marauding survivors: Fully automatic assault rifle and grenades.

    Booby traps

I will submit another unorthodox opinion and that is that a defensible position is not always desirable. Considering the slow rate of speed that a zombie horde can put out, it may be better to stay out in flat open fields where mobility will play a part. All buildings can be surrounded, and while with enough firepower one can keep them off for a long time, they are usually going to get through by sheer numbers in the end.

Of course, a place with a secret escape tunnel that you could seal behind you would be excellent- as long as the other end were clear of marauders, living and undead.
