I am a premium diamond member on chess.com. Can I enter my own games (not played on chess.com) for computer analysis? If not is there some creative way to do it by making up a "mock" opponent and enter the game that way?
I am not sure.
Not at the moment no sorry. The only games you can have analysis submitted on is the ones you've played on Chess.com
Why not post the games in the 'Game Analysis' section in the forums?
Creating mock opponents to play through a game just to get analysis done it is not allowed sorry.
We are looking at adding 'submit other games' as an option at a later date, but its not possible right now.
I hope that can be possible in the future as that will make Computer Analysis of games more useful to players.
That would be a great idea, possibly under local, such as a local tournament/games
I guess too many people submitting different games would grind down the CPU resources of the servers? I'm not sure how y'all currently do it but if you had a pretty fast server threading different requests.. I think it could be done though.. hmm.. have to think about that one. A dedicated linux server just doing nothing but processing submitted games maybe.
This really needs to be a feature, especially for Diamond members. At $100/year, we should be able to submit our tournament games for computer analysis. When I signed up I thought I was getting this ability. I feel mislead.
This is very disappointing. One of the strong appeals to this website for me was that I thought I could put in real world games I've played and search for where I went wrong. I don't think I'll bother continuing after my trial membership expires.
I agree w/ folks above. I thought I would be able to submit games to the computer for analysis. I would think that @ $100/year you should get something like 10 game/week, and for the 2nd tier you should 1-2 per week.
This feature was so obvious that it never occurred to me I couldn't do it.
