    Is there any way of learning after a game starts what the point values will be for win, lose, or draw?  Thank you!

    If you are talking about online chess, then yes.  Go to the specific game you are interested in, then go to the details tab next to the moves tab.  There will be a line that says Rated Show rating adjustment.  Click that and it will show you win lose draw points.
