When you buy a premium account, you spend money on it.
Membership credit just represents how much money you spent on your premium, as time goes by it gets less, and when your premium membership ends your credit is depleted.
At any point you can upgrade or downgarde your account putting the credit against it
So say you had $50 credit, you can take that off the price of diamond and pay the difference.
Its like getting a credit note in a clothes store
No staddum, you cannot get partial refund,
you can downgrade to gold and then use your credit to but someone else a premium if you wish, just by paying the difference, it s mainly built so you can upgrade though not downgrade and then offset the difference against it
Does this mean if my credit reaches 0, I'll automatically downgrade to basic? How do I get more credit?
