Chess.com,

I would really like to play in the upcoming chess.com tournament on 6/24. Is it possible to be declared eligible if you:

1. are a platimum member

2. have played at least 100 moves

3. have never timed out on a move

4. really love chess and live a wholesome law abiding drug-free life

There is no way I'll complete 5 games in time unless I agree to a few "grandmaster" draws.

Unfortunately you must have played at least 5 rated games. So I would suggest putting out 5 rated game seeks withing 50 points of your rating for 1 day per move and then offer the opponent a draw after the 4th move so that the game will count towards your 5 games.

My problem is that I'd like to play in a tournament where I have a chance, I'm ranking around 1450, and so I like getting into a tournament that has an upper limit of 1500 or 1600, makes the struggle more interesting. like wow, maybe I could win an admittedly meaningless tournament! The problem is that there are always a few 1800 ranking players against whom I have little chance who enter these tournaments. If you have a ranking of 1800 why not beat up someone your own size? If I want the instruction of playing with higher ranking players, which I do, I play the opens. Criteria for tournaments should be enforced!
