Here is a chance to join the coveted Tournament Invite Group. This is a group for people who participate in my annual tournaments.
The way these tournaments work is like this:
The tournament is held (for example, 'THE ELIMINATOR 2009')
out of (for example) 50 people there is one winner
The winner is crowned champion of that tournament
around 1 year later (or half a year depending on how quick the tournament goes) the next tournament is held (for example 'THE ELIMINATOR 2010')
The only person in the group unable to compete in this tournament is the winner of the previous tournament
The winner of the (for example 'THE ELIMINATOR 2010') tournament has a private 1 on 1 tournament with the previous (THE ELIMINATOR 2009) tournament and is declared champion.
The champion must play the next tournament winner
There is more than 1 tournament and so there will (hopefully) be a different champion for each tournament.
Once I have enough champions I will begin a champion's tournament. Hopefully I will attract a few high rated players whose games can be analysed and so forth (if this does happen I will have similarly structured tournaments for lower tiered ratings)
All this is quite complicated to arrange so I have started a group to aid this process.
I'm looking for:
A range of players to compete and add numbers to the tournaments
Champions
Reliable game analysis folks
and (if I get enough people joining up) admins of successful and large groups to help with the organisational process.
If you're interested please click the link below to join. This will only be open until I have sufficient numbers and then the gates will close (the group will become invite only(so we can all feel as though we're part of something speacial(which we will be)
