I've noticed a few changes made in the way tournaments can be set up by the TD.

For example, the option that now allows the TD to set the timeout ratio limit he/she will allow for those wishing to join said tournament.

Do the little changes made to the way a tourney can now be set up apply to all members ? all premium members ? or just plat/diamond members?

I don't know about other set up options, but as a lowest level premium member (silver star), I can set up tournaments with only up to 12 people in them.  I set up one tournament so far, and was limited to that number of participants.

I haven't seen it in a while, but I would guess the membership options page chart provides information on tournament set up options available to various levels of membership.

Take care,

George

But can you raise or lower the timeout ratio when you set up a tournament?

Zhane, i asked that question back to George as i was more interested in knowing if changing timeout ratios on tourney settings was something available for all gold members aswell.

I wanted to know if some of the new options in tourney set ups were for just silver/gold   plat/diamond or all premium members.

I know plat/diamond have that option.

Hi kohai,

I just checked out the "advanced options" page for setting up a tournament.  It has a timeout percentage option for choosing a perentage from 0% - 100%.  So, I guess somebody who is a silver star member can do that.  And if I, as a silver star member, can do it, I am sure a gold star member can do it, also. Laughing

Take care,

George

Well, remember silver and gold are the same, its just that silver pays monthly.

I have made a few suggestions about how I would like it to be run, but we will see!

Good to hear cheers ;)

One semi related question i wanted to ask is if anyone can remember being able to withdraw players from tournaments..? I am pretty certain it could be done, but now when i try to withdraw someone who has been on vacation for over 1 month i get a message saying i cant withdraw someone who has games in progress. I can understand why that would be the case to prevent potential abuse by TD's. Just wondering if this is a change that has been moved in with the recent changes to TD setup as Kohai was sort of wondering.

Perhaps Erik and Co.did make a few tinkerings and the help file re it doesnt reflect the changes? Cheers

Pistoleer, I believe it has always been this way so that you cannot withdraw a player with games in progress.
