I just played a game vs. a guy with the username cmolian...now when I go back and check out the game again I see that he's changed his username to The_Yoda. I've seen several other usernames change, so what's going on and how do you change your username anyway??!

To change username, send a message to support@chess.com.
Give three names you would like, in order of preference and a reason why you want a name change.
Also, go to the members search page on chess.com and type in the new name you have chosen for yourself. If the name comes up, then someone already has that, and you have to choose a different name.
It takes upto 24 hours for your new name to appear, and it will appear on all old posts, notes and anywhere else on this site you have been since joining.
