I am not sure, but I have a couple of ideas.  We never had a chess club when I went to school, but I played a lot of chess.  Here are my ideas.

1.  Place an ad in the local newspaper.

2.  Place an ad in the school newspaper.

3.  Place some flyers on bullentin boards.

4.  Find a place at your school that is ok with the teachers and just start playing chess during your lunch hour and after school when it doesn't disrupt studies.  Teach the people who are standing by how to play.  Set up more chess boards and keep on plugging away.  Find a teacher who loves chess and wants to be your sponser or coach.  This last way is what worked for us.  We never actually had a chess club.  I never lacked for playing games because I was always able to find a game.  Good luck.Smile

You ask L.O.O.M.I.S if you can start a chess club and he says yes or no based on whether his Fritz 11 is up and running or not. Then he tells all the kids that they have to give him $19.95 so they can offer tribute to L.O.O.M.I.S.
