start a school championship offer the pupils to miss a lesson or 2 to partacipate in your championship, if it goes well than start a club after school in a social area or something, and keep herrassing the people who went to your tournament to goe there.

I started my school's club on my own with my friends. We got some money together, bought 10 chess sets, and play everyday. We even manage to hook up with other schools to play. Just ask around for a teacher for a room.

Just ask a teacher if you can use their room. That's what I did, and it sure has worked.

yeah just send a mass e-mail to the school staff requesting a room and explaining what you want it for.  You'll be surprised at how many of your teachers will be willing to help you out.

Very useful info.  I'm still working on a Chess Club for the Valparaiso Branch of Ivy Tech, so this will probably come in handy.  Gracias!
