Why can't our players who sign up at chess kids.com find our club on the site?

Hi All,

I just recently joined chesskids.com and created a club for our players.  Problem is our players can't find it on the site when they do a seach for our club.  Why isn't it coming up?  I have sent email invites to over 30 of our players and I know they recieved those and many have signed up on chesskids.com but they can't find our club.  I thought if they responded to the email there would be some kind of direct link to join our club and then I could approve them to join and give them a gold memebership.  I'm not sure if this is a technical difficulty or what.  Has anyone had the same problem or do you know why this is happening?

Thanks,

DJ

I don't know chesskids.com but I would think that people who do might need to know the name of your club in order to be able to help you ...

Chesskids.com is run under chess.com.  Yes, people do know the name of our club, it's our school name.  We have a chess club at our school and I wanted all our club players to sign up with chesskids.com some of them tried to do it right there in class.  They can sign up for chesskids.com successfully but the problem is when they did a seach for clubs (looking for our school name) so they can join our online club at chesskids.com, Our club doesn't come up.

I'm hoping another coach or admin person can explain how to fix the problem.

Hi, The only way for kids to join the club at that site is for you to create their access info - you have to sign them up individually. I had that exact same issue, and contacted chess.com, and their explanation was that due to their privacy settings, they do not allow kids to join any clubs, even if they are invited.
