Is this ever going to be coming back? Because there have been written a lot of good articles (in better English than mine) which deserve an award!

I doubt it. The voting was more of a popularity contest rather than people voting for good writers. Many crappy articles got voted on just because peoples' friends were voting for them and looking at the average chess.com user, I don't expect that to change...
