Captured pieces in iPhone app

When playing online (correspondence) chess on the iPhone app, the captured pieces are imo shown on the wrong side of the board. When I capture a piece, it is displayed on my opponent's side of the board, while the pieces he has captured are displayed on my side. I find this confusing.

The PlayMagnus app displays it the other way around, which I find more natural. Hope you change this in future versions.

You're not the first person to request this feature :) I've passed your message along to the iOS developers to make sure they get it!

Same thing for me. I just bought the iPod Touch 6th generation and I'm using the chess.com app (the most updated). When I capture a piece, it is displayed on my opponent's side of the board, while the pieces he has captured are displayed on my side. See picture below. A bit annoying. Last thing: the "+1" displayed near my name is on the right side of the board!

The +1 could be helpful, especially if the material is uneven. But, as long as the captured pieces are on the wrong side of the board its even more confusing than before.

Why can't you (chess.com) just move the captured pieces to the correct side of the board?
