Yes I experienced this sort of happenings whenever II found my big opponent going to lay down the server trouble comes in: disconnected.
In your case server trouble came in with temporary disconnect exhausting your time to move. Time was over and opponent won. Not your fault !!
That was the last game of these I played. Then I did resign out of frustration.
So I'm a troll, ha?

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1 and the Seamonkey browser (Mozilla), version 2.19
And, thank you very much for bothering! I lost around 50 points on my rating due to this.
10 minite games my opponent is getting full time and I am 5 min due to lag.And this thing going on since last 4 year I guess.So sad FICS is down so I have to play on this stupid server.
Your browser choice certainly sets off some red flags with respect to an issue like this.
I've played a lot and have not experienced the following until today:
The game starts, we both make our initial moves but when I'm making my second or third move my opponent stops playing. And after a while the system tells me game abandoned and my opponent won!!!
That's happened to me four or five times today. Anyone experienced something similar?
