FEN Code

So i was thinking that when you are browsing over your past games, and see a certain position you would want to evaluate, you cannot copy the FEN of that position but of whatever the latest position of the game is (if is a Vote Chess game for example, you can only copy the current position, and if is a past game, you can only copy the end if it...)

Was just thinking, if its easy to do (which i highly doubt) that each position shows the code it has, (when yar moving around the game and want to analyze certain position for example)

If its too hard to do... oh well :), guess it will be other time!

    Thanks for reading!

I agree. You can only get FEN codes for the last position. They don't provide PGNs for your latest games and such.

They do provide PGNs for your last games. I think creating FENs for every position is a little unnecessary. PGN is a very practical way to "store all FENs" of the game.

FENs are mainly used in tournaments I think, if the board needs to be set up again, so that you don't have to trawl all the way through a Scoresheet.
But for Online chess, FENs aren't that useful, I agree with that.

I know what u mean Philidor Position, but thing is most of the stuff here (at least the ones i can use, like Insert a position, or to analyze some past position) I need the FEN. But guess that a changing FEN might be too hard to do (but if it doesnt, it wouldnt hurt any1 to have it changing :P)

    Btw thanks for the replies.
