I believe this is done to attempt to make live chess more like OTB.

I would really like the option to flip the board added to live chess. This would be very useful when watching others games and trying to compare the positions to positions I have encountered in my own games. Currently there is an option in settings to check show white on the bottom but the default is white on the bottom so I don't really this unless I am doing something wrong. I would appreciate any feedback on this topic thanks.
