Forced Threefold repetition and lowered ratings

I recenetly played a game on Chess.com where my opponent and I reached the same position three times, and my opponent declared a draw. My rating lowered because of this, but since every move was forced (because if the queen wasn't there it would have been mate) should my rating really lower?

A rule should be that if a Threefold repetition is forced, than there should be no change to your rating.

    Does anyone agree?

I don't understand your argument.  If your opponent forced a draw, and you're higher rated, why shouldn't your rating be lower?  You needed to beat him, but you drew instead.  So of course your rating should move closer to his.

yea, no matter the circumstances (stalemate, 3-fold, agreed, etc) a draw is a draw, and if it's with a lower-rated player, the ratings will adjust accordingly.  :)

I won several games lately and my rating went up. But it's silly because the other player wasn't as good as me, so why should I get ratings points?

    It's not fair.
