Here's an idea...

How about beside everyone's rating, you have an icon of a chess piece whose strength corresponds to the rating?

    Here's how it would correspond:

    pawn: <1200

    knight: 1200 to 1499

    bishop: 1500 to 1799

    rook: 1800-2099

    queen: 2100-2400

    king: >2400

To further that idea, how about having groups play against other groups with their army consisting of all the pieces that appears beside every team member's username?

    What do you think?

What rating would you use? We all have 5 of them. Wink

It would not be fair when someone with 1200 gets the same symbol with that of 1499.And why should a knight represent less ratings in comparison to bishop?

    One has to come first.

Measuring the skill of the people moving the pieces is enough for competitive players, and rather indifferent for amateurs. No need for more grades.

Perhaps so. I just thought it'd be fun.
