I think the live chess seek graph is a good design experiment for dealing with a difficult design problem - much better than the rigid hierarchy of the scrolling list that was there before.
I'd suggest going further with the icon design for representing games- for example, using a different color and shape for computer opponents would add some visual clarity to the data points, making it easier to avoid or select those type games.
Also adding a key - the green dots with the white circles? I assume they are games with rating limits?

The white ones are unrated seeks.

i agree - we should make computers a different color.

Didn't like the graph the first time I signed in and saw it but after a couple uses I would hate to see it go. I hope it stays the same the way it is.
You can choose not to see seeks from computers in your settings I believe.

the information is possibly there but its presentation for me at least is hampered by the graph size, seems a bit small & difficult to interpret with real accuracy, on another site it takes up half the screen, i find the alternate seek 'list' excellent though

The size seems ok for me - there aren't that many data points to display. I think labeling the axes (rating/time) would make the graph clearer.
On a side note, I find it curious that the computer games are in there at all. Wouldn't a feature to simply request a computer opponent/game make more sense?
