I believe there is a problem with the current best win system. I don't think you should be able to get "Best win" against an opponent if you won on time. I beat a 1900 on time, and his rating turned to 1875. It's like saying: "You're better than me at chess because I didn't play for 3 days." I want to actually know who my best win is (I think it is a low 1800), not who I won against on time. I mean, I can find out by flipping through the 278 games I've played, but that would just be a waste of time.
It's also decieving to other people. If an 1100 beats a 2000 on time, and then joins a tournament later, many people may think he/she is a sandbagger, if they don't actually look at the game.
I also think that it should not effect your rating.

Look at that game. I was getting demolished, but I won on time, and I ended up getting past the 1500 mark because of that. I find that pretty unfair.

Yeah, I agree, I have actually played and beaten a 2100, but I get credited with beating a 2300 after he ran out of time. I want to be proud of my best win!

wins on time have to affect your rating. there's two ways around this:
1) losses on time dont affect your rating, and everyone times out lost games
2) wins on time dont affect your rating but losses on time do, and points start disappearing from the system.
I have nothing against losses on time effecting rating, it is just the best win I am talking about.

You can disable the "Auto-win on time" checkbox on your settings page. Never again you will "win" a lost game on time.

Non-tournament games only.
You have to resign prior to 60 days or you get the win.
Yeah, I don't really play fun games anymore, I play Team and Tournament games, the only time I play a fun game is in 960. So that's the only problem with that idea.

I agree, your Best Win statistic should not include a game won on time, as it's not your best win, more your luckiest win.
It is a shame that the auto-win checkbox only applies to tournament games.
