Remove obtion of playing rated with specific colour!

    ... please.

It's common knowledge that white has the advantage of the first move, so how come it's allowed to rated chess games with statistically higher chances to win?

    Is that fair? Undecided

It also spams the game obtions for people who want to play fair. 90% (almost then) of all rated game offers specifies that you have to be black (pieces, not ethnicity).

I suggest that when one plays rated, one should be assigned a random colour.

    Anyone with me? Laughing

    Na

For a start I never agreed with white's advantage

Black has the opportunity to choose the opening

e.g white plays e4 i play c5 we get into sicilian

    Black can also counterattack

However the idea of randomness might be changed to the game being halved into 2 with one game white one game black

    So instead of 10-0n 10-0g game we split it into 1) 5-0 n 5-0g then 5-0 g 5-0 n

It is unfair, but if you want to play a series of games with alternative colours for a league, but not all in a row, you need this function.
