Why is all my font suddenly so much smaller?  It's bad enough that I can't read what people say because of my purple background.  Now I am surely going to have to change my coloring in my page.

Could it be that you have accidentally pushed ctrl and - ? Try hitting ctrl with the "+" button to zoom back in.

I don't think that is what happened but thanks, I did push ctrl + and now my font is really big!   I can see it really well now!

You can also check the default font in firefox, with tools/options/content, but I doubt that's the problem here. Glad you worked it out.
