Thank you and sorry

In my rage that the site went down, I said some things in the forums that I regret.

Thank you for building such a great site Eric. I hope this site continues to grow and make money, and after my court case I can't wait to purchase premium membership.

I think it says something about the quality of the site that when it does go down people (myself included) fly into a rage.

This is a great place to play chess, learn, and have fun. I have to say I appriciate Eric and the rest of the chess com staff for making it happen

Who is making you say that?

Probably Eric.

Posts like this just bug me. When clicking on any site, it's expected to be working, no? cc has many bugs that have not been addressed. Hell, try getting a response in the bugs thread that was pinned by staff.

Your rage was probably on target.

"I think it says something about the quality of the site that when it does go down people (myself included) fly into a rage."

It's understandable as often as it happens.

Keep up the good work, Erik!

Erik; we want health insurance. These forums are dangerous, and there's no warning anywhere.

So being nice is not believed on the internet. I was in one of those moods

I dont understand the "rage" in losing an online game of chess, due to a site having issues.

AlCzervik

It's not about losing a game. It's about the funcionality of the site.

It happens...no website is up 100% of the time.

Who are you, and what have you done with the REAL JGambit?

RonaldJosephCote

I use to make myself angry by studying the stock market in the newspapers, and think, If I had a million dollars, I would invest in this, and this, and this. The next day when the stock skyroceted I would scream--"I COULD OF BEEN A CONTENDER!        This has nothing to do with the thread, I just like playing Brando.

Ron, did Marlon Brando play in the movie Raging Bull or was it not Robert De Niro who played former Middleweight Champion Jake LaMatta? Did Brando ever say that? Just want to keep things accurate. Did he perhaps say this as his character On the Waterfront? Help me out here ... maybe we're both right. This means a lot in the scheme of things and I don't want to get criticized again! lol

RG1951

Robert De Niro played La Motta. Marlon Brando made the "contender" remark ruefully to Rod Steiger in a cab in On The Waterfront.

Glad we've cleared THAT up.

How many times did Kirk say "Beam me up, Scottie!"?

Zero?

Stella!

Brando's character Terry would have said "I coulda' been a contender" ... correct? I really don't want criticism over this matter! Thanks RG1951. Ron, looks like we both correct. Thank God for that!

        He never actually did.

Zero! Yes! We have a WINNER!

RonaldJosephCote

I think he did say, "Scotty, 2 to beam up".    Wait a minute; why the hell am I talking star trek in, "Site Feedback"??
