Wishlist for chess.com iPad app

First of all thanks for providing a good app for live and online chess. However, there is room for a lot of improvement. Here is what I would like to see on further versions of the app (roughly in the order of importance):

  • Possibility to premove. I'm not really playing bullet on iPad as it's not so practical, but in some situations, even slower time controls,  there are just "only" moves and it frustrates me to have to wait for opponent just to make that very move.
  • An ability to make notes on correspondence games. When one has for example a dozen games, it's easy to lose track on your thoughts if you are not able to have verbal notes.
  • Chess mentor for iPad app. That would be really a cool feature, as a diamond member I would want to be able to benefit from all the resources chess.com can offer whether I'm at my computer or mobile with my iPad.
  • Online database access. To be frank, I don't consider chess.com database (yet) as good as some others, but anyway it could be handy when playing correspondence games.
  • On online chess games, it would be handy if you could go to the beginning of game on analyze board. Now you can just go from current position onwards.

I would upgrade my account for this feature alone.

I love chess mentor but I have greater access to my iPad than my laptop in my spare time.

Chess Mentor does work perfectly well on iPad's Safari browser, so you can still use it whether it's part of the app or not...

That's true, but I would still like to see that in the dedicated app. It's still working via safari a bit better than I originally thought, thanks!

I fully support bassosoolo requests. Especially lack of notes in correspondence games is a nuisance. Also premoves in live games would be great.

I hope there will be an update soon, it has been quite a time without any improvements. Amount of mobile device users will definitely grow, and chess.com should really think about getting their mobile apps to another level. For example, implementing chess mentor thing to app (like tactics trainer is now)would be a killer, I personally feel that option alone could be a reason for upgrading to a premium member. Chess mentor does work via browser, but I'd use it a lot more if it was seamlessly integrated into app.  Chess mentor is perhaps one of the most underrated tools chess.com has to offer.

In an app, you *could* have the option to download lessons so you could use it away from wifi.

Yes it has become wonderful. Good work all!

Using chess mentor in safari on the ipad is a bit cumbersome. We really need the native touch environment of the chess.com app for this!

And I have no idea why premoves are not possible in the app. It puts you at a distinct disadvantage to an opponent playing blitz on a computer.
