good puzzle, but I wonder if black could play 1...Qxe5 and come out ahead.

no there is no way black can prevent losing the queen, not by moving the queen or the king.

this is almost impossible to find out without trying around though

moving the queen to g3 and then on 3...will allow protection of the pawn so it can promote. Who cares if you have to trade the queen whites king is stuck in the corner

I see this happening...

or if your playing someone who know what they are doin then black is screwed in which point after thinking about it I care that I have to trade my queen.

That doesn't work... white still queens and black can't force a queen.

Who is the composer? I co-teach chess at a YMCA, and the other teacher showed me this puzzle.  He got it from an old puzzle book from Ukraine.  So... no clue.
