Adjournment

I'm about to go into a serious OTB tournament in a little over a month.  It's 40/85 with 5 second delay and 30 minutes to finish the game.  Very standard.  Our club times are actually very late.  They start at 7:30 PM and this game could very well go on until 11:00.  So I was wondering, is adjournment allowed and how do you adjourn OTB games?

I dont think u can adjourn OTB games. U could resign if u dont want to play.

At our club meets every tuesday night.  So the TD said that some people finish their games on the weekends.  So I was wondering, how is this made possible?
