Hi all

New player here, I recently joined a big tournament as it was top of the list and I like huge tournaments, I noticed that there was a rating limit.

This may be a problem as I have already jumped up to 13** something and been down to 10** in the same day hehe...due to playing four or five simultaneously and playing fast games, what happens if my rating goes above the 1200 the tournament is capped to? Will I have to leave it as I suppose if my rating went high (not sure what my rating will actually be yet) it may be considered as unfair by others in the tournament.

I would like to play in this one as I lost to 1300,s but beat 1200 and 1000,s but I cant honestly say whether I will be a fair candidate for this tournament or not.

Any thoughts on this?

No, I believe the rating limit only applies when you sign up. I'm pretty sure the director can only remove you before the tournament starts if your rating is above the max, though I wouldn't worry too much about being 1300 in a 1200 tourney.
