This tournament is in recognition of the contributions of one Lenny_Bongcloud to our relationship with this game.  For all of us who've ever taken a slide in our rating far to seriously, or agonized over the loss of an individual game.  For those of us who've spent countless hours on improving our games only to find that the study has born no fruit.  For every one of us who's... um, err, wait -- waht?  Deud.  There's Lenny.

This is an unrated tournament and the rules are simple:

1. You are not playing for checkmate -- the objective for either side is to simlply get your king to your opponent's back rank first.
2. You must move your king to on the second move.
3. If your opponent gets his king to your back rank first, you are obligated to resign.
4. Accidental checkmates will earn you the collective ridicule of the other players in the tournament, while I suspect that you will actually advance as a result, you will advance without honour.

An invite has gone out to Mr. Bongcloud himself and there are a few open spots remaining.  Respond to this thread and I will send out an invite provided there is still room.  First come first served folks.
