Would anyone (premium member) be willing to do this? I think it would be great to set a tournament around the different Class (A, B, C, D, E, Expert, Senior Expert). I tried to post a tournament for Class E but I am not a premium member and the options are very limited (the tournament had no points available to the participants, etc.). Needless to say I canceled the tournament. Thanks.

Here are the ratings for each class:

United States Chess Federation ratings

The United States Chess Federation (USCF) uses its own classification of players: [6]

  • 2400 and above: Senior Master
  • 2200–2399: Master
  • 2000–2199: Expert
  • 1800–1999: Class A
  • 1600–1799: Class B
  • 1400–1599: Class C
  • 1200–1399: Class D
  • 1000–1199: Class E

You cannot directly control tournament points. They would have automatically updated once players registered based on the average rating of the players.

There are dozens of current official tournaments with the ratings suggested. A full set starts each month. The format rotates through standard, quick knockout and thematic.

The official Chess.com tournaments which are held each month are done by rating classes like this.
