I have been a member for a little over 2 weeks or so and would like to create a tourney.

I have tried but group sizes, number advance, and another of topics confuse me.

I would like to create a 20 player tourney, split into 4 groups of 5 players,each group playing their group opponents 2 times(Once as White and once as Black)

The winner of each group (4 players), i would like to play each other twice(again once as white and once as black) to find the eventual winner.

Could someone please explain how i set this up or point me to a link for complete dummies for tournament arranging:)

I will give it a good read but any input here would still be gratefully appreciated:)

I'm sorry about the lack of comments, but I don't know either.  I am having a similar problem. I understand how the tournaments work, but when creating a tournament I can't figure out how to specify the number of groups, group size, and number advancing. There seems to be nowhere to enter this information. So, say I want to create a tourney with 12 people, 3 groups of four, with the top two of each group advancing and the other eliminated. But there is no way to select this information! If I submit the tourney, it says, 12 players, group size 12, you will play 11 games, and 1 advance! 

 With this post, the topic will go back to the top and hopefully, sempereruditio, someone will see this and answer our mutual problem.

Once you select create tourney that selcetion group should be the first thing seen.

It's a pretty beasty feeling that you can eject anyone who enters your tournaments. feel free to enter mine:
