Some you can tell right away that you are not interested.

To fill tournaments more quickly some tournament directors allow any player to join their tournaments.

If you were aware of the Minimum Games Completed was adjusted from the default five to zero or that the Maximum Timeout % was adjusted from 10 to 100 would you bypass the tournament?

I've given up on the tournaments except for Chess.com tournaments.  There are too many, they are poorly organized and generally a waste of time.  Too many people time out, too many drag them on forever and there is no way to sort the grain from the chaff and thus, as I said at the first, I only go to the Chess.com tournaments and have given up on starting any new ones.  So the answer to the question in your post is: NA.  I'm not going to look at the tournament in the first place.
