One of the leagues I have played in had a grade limited team tournament which was quite good.
You could have teams of 4 whose grades total less than 6000. Etc. That way you could get teams of friends with quite different abilities, but each team would not have a big overall advantage.
I can see on here that it could help weaker players as there would be some reason for the stronger ones to analyse the weaker players' games and discuss them so they dont make the same mistakes next round !
