i have noticed that all the official chess.com tournaments are 3 days per move.  I would like some official tournaments to be longer (ie 7 days per move).  This would suit some of the players who can not log on every couple of days.  Interesting to hear other people's thoughts.

3 days plus vacation time should be plenty. People drag games out now(especially ones they know their losing!).

Yes, if we extended the time control of the official Chess.com tournaments then they would take much longer and we would not be able to run them as frequently to give many players a chance to participate. So it is really a trade off if we decided to expand to a longer time control.
