Vacations are fine but I think that vacations for tournament should be limited like an option.

For example, I have 30 days available in my account for vacations but I don't think they all should be available for a single tournament!

Maybe a good thing would be when creating a tournament to have an option to limit the max day of vacation allowed and not just "vacation allowed" o "no vacation allowed" and then when people want to register for the tournament see the max day of vacation that they could use.

With this the vacation abuse will decrease and 90% of members here will be happy!

Yes, good idea.  My opponent has made five moves, and is now on vacation.  So, am I stuck in round one until he decides to come back?!?  That's JUST WRONG.
