It would be useful to see on my online tournaments page a quick way of seeing what tourneys you are out of , through to next round or in progress . Is there a setting that I have missed ? 

no.  it only shows tourn's you are in that are still active, whether you have been eliminated or not.  supposedly chess.com is looking into it. what i do is keep a note book of all the tourns i'm in, and then i check them off when I'm eliminated.  at least i know what tourn's i'm actually still playing in.
