Did you notice this limitation recently?  I have noted a lessening of tournaments in the upcoming tournaments list.

Apparently the old limitation was 50 "open" tournaments.  http://www.chess.com/forum/view/tournaments/why-do-i-have-limits

Post #15 "We only allow a max of 50 "open" tournaments. Some of your tournaments need to start before you can create any more."

Note the "start" not "finish" so 50 in registration was okay??

Exactly the answer that I got from Chess.com.I think that TDs whose tourneys fill up as quick as mine do should be allowed to stage more tourneys than 50.

This is what is now shown when you have 50 active tourneys in progress:-

You are already hosting the maximum allowed tournaments. Please wait until one of your tournaments is completed before adding more.

Looks like you'll need to create tournaments with "Get 'em in. Get 'em out" characteristics.
