Does anyone know what the number in the parentheses beside your name under the "standings" tab means when you're playing in a tournament?

I just "chatted" this question in a tournament I was playing in, and no one seemed to know the answer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you're talking about your rating.

Well, then can you post the link to that tournament?

In live tournaments it shows where you stood before the tournament started, since that's decided by ratings '(1)' would mean you were the highest rated player at the beginning of the tournament.

Oh it was a live tournament, not an online chess one. Thanks for clearing that up Eris_Discordia
