    According to the site's rules, that hopeless delay can trigger sanctions. You should report those cases.

    Not a reportable situation. A player must be in a losing position in a game and then go on vacation status.   http://support.chess.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/104/0/what-is-vacation-abuse

    Whether winning or losing a player can play as slowly as they wish within the set time limit.

    MaBell, this happens. All you can do is wait it out for your win. It is a hassle when you want to enter other tourneys, but, you're unsure when your current ones will advance.

    My suggestion (if you choose to play quickly) is to either start your own tournament and set time per move at a low level, or, join others that have that restriction.
